Please continue to pray for the people of Malawi and the huge numbers affected in Zimbabwe and Mozambique.
Prison Hygiene Pack Volunteers
Our Hygiene Pack program has really only begun in earnest since the start of the year, and already we have volunteers packing in 17 locations across the UK.
Prison Pack Update
Many thanks to the Christians at Hope Hall, Lesmahagow, from who we received a pallet of 8 completed cartons. Together with those received from the Christians at Bloomfied Gospel Hall & Ebenezer Gospel Hall, that brings to 55 the total ready to ship.
Thank you!
We are grateful to all who have responded practically to the immediate need following the flooding in Southern Malawi.
Obviously, we can only make a small contribution to the relief effort, but we trust that, with your help, it will be a meaningful one.
Malawi Flooding – First Hand
Brother Emi just sent these photos from Kachoka where around 100 spent the night at the Christian Kintergarten.
We are glad to be able to assist with emergency supplies of food, but the long-term affect upon these families will be enormous. This is one small area – the flooding has affected many areas in the Southern Region.
Death Toll in Malawi Flooding Rises
The Government of Malawi has declared a State of Disaster as 23 people are confirmed dead, with many more missing, and over 100,000 people estimated to have been displaced from their homes.
Urgent Prayer Request – Malawi Flooding
We have received reports of very severe rainfall and serious flooding in parts of Malawi’s Southern Region.
Brother Emi reports that locals have taken refuge at the Kindergarten he runs at Kachoka as many homes have collapsed due to the adverse weather.
Prison doors swing open!
Sadly, brother Jim will have to cut his trip short and will return home tomorrow as Janet has been taken unwell.
We are so thankful to the Lord that, notwithstanding this unfortunate turn of events, we were able to accomplish a major objective of the trip when we met the management of the Malawi Prison Service at HQ today.

Every picture tells a story. This one says that we had a great visit with the staff at prison HQ.
We were able to explore some very promising opportunities for the future, of which more later, and have arranged a further visit for next week when we will be able to hand over some much-needed learning resources for the prison school at Zomba.
Please continue to pray for this work.
