Equipping Christians in Malawi to share the Gospel
SALT works to enlighten, encourage and empower Christians in Malawi as they engage in the Great Commission and serve their communities.
How we work…
Enlighten. Encourage. Empower.
Everything SALT does is centred on one purpose: helping Christians in Malawi engage in the Great Commission. We seek to do that in three practical ways.
Enlighten
Helping people understand Godโs Word
We preach the Gospel and publish sound Christian literature, making Bible teaching accessible to people across Malawi.
Encourage
Strengthening Christians in faith and service
Through Bible teaching, conferences, fellowship and practical support, we encourage believers to grow and serve.
Empower
Equipping Christians to reach others
We provide free evangelistic and teaching resources that equip local Christians to share the Gospel with others.
Richard Ntantha
โCan anything bring more joy than this?โ was Harold’s reaction on hearing how Richard had benefited from his first Bible teaching conference.
Richard serves the Lord in the Lower Shire area of southern Malawi, sharing the Gospel with others.
The teaching โopened my understandingโ, Richard said. Since then, he has been revisiting what he learned and passing it on to others.

Greciam Chithambo
A tract can go where a preacher may not!
In parts of Malawi, some people may be reluctant to attend a Christian meeting publicly but are willing to accept Gospel literature, take it home and read it privately.
He has a passion to reach those held captive by such fear.

Where we work…
SALT supplies Gospel literature throughout Malawi. Our central hub is at Thondwe in Zomba District, supported by storage depots in Kasungu, Lilongwe and Nsanje.
From Chitipa in the north to Nsanje in the south, literature is distributed through local Christians in communities across the country. Tracts, Gospel calendars and other Bible resources are shared in marketplaces, hospitals, schools and other places where people gather.
Alongside evangelistic literature, Nthawi ya Baibulo resources for children and Emmaus correspondence courses provide opportunities for structured Bible learning and discipleship.
Each year, our volunteers distribute over 3 million items, bringing the life-giving message of the Gospel to millions of souls.
We praise God for every soul reached through His Word.

How can you get involved?
