Give Thanks: Installation of Solar PV System for Print Room
While work continues on construction of the maintenance workshop and stores, please join with us in giving thanks for the installation of a 3KVA solar pv system to power the new print room and office, due to take place this week. This represents a considerable investment, but with regular (often daily) prolonged (8+ hr) blackbouts due to load shedding, we have no real option but to go “off-grid”. A power outage during a print run is not just inconvenient but can damage the equipment. We are thankful for the donated digital duplicator and ancillary equipment which will enable us to…

MGO 2022 Schedule
Here is our itinerary in case you are interested in following & praying for MGO day by day. Like everything in Malawi, it’s subject to change at short notice !

Progress of Maintenance Workshop & Print Room
Work continues apace on various aspects of the project at Saidi. The Office (temporary apartment) & Print room has been roofed and first fix electrical and plumbing work done. The “scratch coat” will be plastered next week and should be ready for installation of windows and doors at the start of the following week (DV), with the plaster finish to follow thereafter. During the past week we placed an order for a 3KVA Solar PV system to provide the necessary power and are looking forward to it being installed as soon as possible.

Pray: MGO Preparations
Stephen writes: “It’s now less than a month to MGO 2022. Please pray for all the final preparations that need to be made as MGO approaches:
-
Pray that the Lord would use the seed that has been sown
Anna write: “Please pray that we would see the Lord using the seed that has been sown, the different relationships that have been formed and even the practical demonstrations of His love to draw many to Himself for salvation. “I’m thinking specifically of MGO, but, of course, we long for Him to work in salvation at all times.”

Pray: Preservation of the work
Although there is much reason for thanksgiving, especially concerning the commencement of a regular Gospel meeting at Saidi, the numerical increase in the adult and Children’s Bible studies, and the recent re-roofing of the Msasa, there is also much need for prayer. Please particularly pray for the physical preservation of the work and workers, each of whom are vulnerable in different ways, and especially that a spirit of unity, harmony, common purpose and mutual respect will be maintained.

Msasa Re-roofing project
It’s such a thrill to see work substantially complete on the msasa re-roofing project. The refurbished structure was put to good use for the first Sunday Gospel Meeting at Saidi.

Give Thanks: Improvement in Stephen’s health
Brother Stephen writes: Even as I wrote recently to appreciate how smoothly my recent trip had gone, a nasty infection was developing in my leg. I had to cancel meetings planned for last Lord’s Day, and by Monday the leg was swollen, angry red, and becoming very painful. I was thankful for a very quick telephone appointment with my GP, who diagnosed cellulitis from an infected insect bite. He started me on an immediate course of antibiotics, and I’m thankful that in the past couple of days there is a noticeable improvement, although the leg is still somewhat discoloured and…

Give Thanks: Commencement of regular Gospel Meeting at Saidi
We praise God for the commencement of a regular Gospel meeting at Saidi this Lord’s Day. Although Brother Goodson has been conducting a regular mid-week Bible study and Children’s work in Thondwe for several years, relocating those to the Saidi site when we purchased it in 2020, there has not been a regular meeting for Gospel preaching until now.

Give thanks for a safe and positive trip to Dzaleka
Anna writes:I am thankful for a safe and positive trip to Dzaleka. Please continue praying for the hope of Christ to shine in the hearts of these dear people, especially through the Bibletime curriculum (phase two to begin shortly). Note: We introduced Swahili language Bible Time lessons at the Dzaleka Refugee Camp last year. This project has been very successful and has been a very useful pilot for the Chichewa work which is in advanced stages of development.
