The local planning officer from the DCs office has requested a meeting at the Saidi site today.

Please pray that this won’t last to any unnecessary difficulty complying with planning requirements.

Update

The meeting was uneventful and no undue burdens were placed in the development work.

It’s a real cause for thanksgiving that the reconditioned Brake Master Cylinder we brought for the Land Cruiser send to have resolved its braking problem. There are a few other ongoing issues with the car, as to be expected with such an old vehicle, but this gives us some heart that it’s worth continuing to work on it.

Also very glad to report that the Adblue problem with the Mitsubishi truck send to have been resolved. Thanks for praying.

Regrettably there is not much progress with the Isuzu which is still of the road with engine problems. The mechanic working in it has given lots of excuses, and we frankly don’t know what to believe. He has requested another week or so to resolve it, but if has been going on for many months already, so this doesn’t instill a lot of confidence. Please pray.

Perhaps you’ve been wondering, as you read about our work in schools, what, precisely, a visit entails. We start by contacting the head of the school to ask if we can come to speak with the students. Without exception we have been welcomed into every school that we have approached. The door is wide open!On the day of the visit, we (try to) show up a bit early, so we can introduce ourselves and explain what we hope to accomplish during our time there. This generally entails a good deal of the formalities that I suspect were learned from our dear British friends. Usually, they are expecting us. Almost always, they aren’t quite yet ready.

Pray for safe and speedy arrival of a large consignment of (1,000,000) 2022 Gospel Calendars and (2,600,000) Gospel Tracts recently sent from N. Ireland.

Ideally, we would have liked the calendars to have been sent a bit earlier than this, but some aspects of the production process proved more time-consuming than anticipated.
