After a long delay due to transit and customs clearance issues, we are very hopeful that our 2022 Calendar distribution will get underway this week.

Harold and Goodson have been receiving many calls from our large team of volunteer distributors, who have been waiting patiently to receive supplies. They will distribute around 1,000,000 calendars and 1,500,000 tracts. Supplying this distribution networks involves a lot of hard work and long journeys, so please pray for stamina and safety as they undertake this important work.

Pray that the Lord will really bless his word.

Brother Stephen is due to fly to Malawi on 24th Feb, Brother Jim a little over a week later on 4th March. Please pray that both will remain infection free and have a negative Covid test to enable them to travel. With so much Covid around, it is becoming increasingly difficult to avoid infection.

Please also pray that the Lord will bless their trip. Following the fire at Saidi, there will need to assess the damage and make plans for reconstruction, as well as the further development of the project site, as well as reviewing other important aspects of the work.

Concerning Student Engagement, Anna Vallance says, “Give thanks for seeing so many students engaged and teachers active in BES (Bible Time).”

Anna and Wati have just spent a week in Lilongwe / Dzaleka reviewing the existing program among Swahili-speaking refugee children and working on translation of the material into Chichewa for wider use around Malawi. This project has huge potential for the Children’s work.

Anna asks us to continue to pray regarding her work permit.

She says, “I have been told it is in the final stages, but there is a new minister who needs to get orientated with her new job and take care of the backlog”

Brother Stephen plans to depart on 24th Feb for his first 2022 trip to Malawi.

Brother Jim plans to join Stephen the following week, Lord willing.

This visit will be mainly practical. There are plans to be made for the rebuilding of the msasa and further developments on the site, as well as long-overdue visits to be made to meet the prison authorities.

They also plan to visit relief programs in Lilongwe and Dzaleka.

Please pray for them as they make preparations, and while they are away – for a safe and profitable trip, for the glory of God.

Please pray for John, one of the site workers at Saidi, who collapsed a couple of days ago and has been in hospital since.

Update: Give thanks! Goodson updated me yesterday (9 Feb) that Mr Chitenje has been discharged from hospital and is feeling much better. Thanks for praying.

Anna asks for prayer regarding the upcoming trip to Lilongwe.

Pray particularly for:

  • Safety on the roads
  • Success in the different things we hope to undertake (translation, visit to Dzaleka)
