Please pray that Anna’s Work Permit, which has been outstanding for several months now, will be approved very soon. She returned from her visit to Zambia, but is now in the country on a Visitor’s Visa only.
Pray: Anna still waiting for her visa
Anna requests prayer regarding her visa. This has been outstanding for some months and her temporary visa was cancelled when she travelled outside the country to attend her friend’s wedding in Zambia
Pray: Health of those injured in the lightning strike
Brother Goodson requests prayers for his son who was in the Msasa at the time of the lightning strike. He has a sore back and visited the hospital for some medication for it. The man who had an injured leg is able to walk now though still recovering, so prayers for him would be appreciated too.
Pray: The Project at Saidi
Brother Goodson requests: “Please keep praying for the work at Saidi”. You can view the gallery of the project at Saidi here.
Pray: Consignment of Calendars and Gospel Tracts
Please pray for a large consignment of calendars and Gospel Tracts which is due to arrive and be discharged shortly.
This will entail a lot of work for the local brothers and prayer is requested for journeying mercies and the stamina and other resources necessary, and that the the literature will be a real blessing to many souls.
Pray: School Visits
Brother Harold advises that school visits will be restarting next week and ask the Lord’s people to pray for help and blessing.
Each child hears a short Gospel presentation and receives a gift of an exercise book with a Gospel message on the cover.
Pray: For blessing from the online broadcast
Pray: Destruction of Msasa
Please pray following the lightning strike and destruction of the Msasa on 3 Jan.
This has the potential to really discourage the workers on the ground, who had begun to really benefit from the msasa, especially now that the rains have arrived. In a community riddled with superstition, it also has the potential to disrupt the spiritual side of the work.
Pray: Rains are very late
Rains usually expected mid-November have only just arrived in Malawi in the past few days, meaning that a significant part of the crop is only being planted when it should already be knee-high.
Others who planted when there was a brief false-start in `November have already lost what they sowed.
Pray: Guidance in the New Year
Clear direction with the many opportunities as we move into the new year.
There are many open doors and we feel the need to be guided as we plan for the months ahead
