Anna reminds us to keep praying for the literature being distributed throughout the country.

He has promised His word will not return void!

Note: We recently took delivery of around 2,600,000 items of Gospel literature. We are prioritising distribution of the 2022 Gospel calendars. We thank the Lord the work is going well so far.

Anna asks that we pray for accuracy and efficiency in the continued translation and revision of BES Bible Time lessons.

Note: Anna and Wati have a rolling program of translation meetings each month. Some of these are local, but others involve travel to Lilongwe (700Km round trip). It’s hoped to have at least one year’s curriculum ready for printing in the coming months.

Brother Goodson requests continued prayer for the practical and spiritual work at Saidi.

Note: Goodson has a very busy schedule, overseeing construction of a house for Anna as well as the project on the site itself. He is also heavily involved in the children’s work and an adults’ Bible study, as well as the ongoing literature distribution effort.

Please pray for our 2022 Calendar distribution which is finally underway. Malawi continues to experience extreme weather conditions. Many roads have become un-passable, some have been completely washed away.

Please pray for Brother Harold and Brother Goodson as they continue to supply our network of volunteer distributors, and for these faithful brothers and sisters who will speed the literature on its way to distant communities. The weather conditions make this large task even more difficult.

Stephen & Jim will appreciate your prayers regarding their imminent visit to Malawi. Stephen is due to depart on Thursday 24th Feb, and Jim on Friday 4th March.

Please pray:

  1. That both Stephen & Jim remain Covid-free prior to and during their trip to avoid and complications with their travel plans
  2. For travelling mercies in the air and on roads made more dangerous by recent extreme weather.
  3. For wisdom as they plan future development of the site at Saidi, the response to the damage caused by Storm Ana, and SALT’s ongoing Gospel outreach efforts.

Wati asks us to remember the increasing hardship at Dzaleka Refugee Camp. During their visit last week, she and Anna learned that 680 families have recently had their meagre monthly food ration removed completely as official agencies no longer have sufficient funds to help them. The remainder have to survive on just a few $ per month.

As refugees, these people have no access to land to grow their own food, and have no legal right to work, making their situation very serious indeed.  Please pray for those sharing the Gospel among the 50,000 occupants of the camp.

After a long delay due to transit and customs clearance issues, we are very hopeful that our 2022 Calendar distribution will get underway this week.

Harold and Goodson have been receiving many calls from our large team of volunteer distributors, who have been waiting patiently to receive supplies. They will distribute around 1,000,000 calendars and 1,500,000 tracts. Supplying this distribution networks involves a lot of hard work and long journeys, so please pray for stamina and safety as they undertake this important work.

Pray that the Lord will really bless his word.

Brother Stephen is due to fly to Malawi on 24th Feb, Brother Jim a little over a week later on 4th March. Please pray that both will remain infection free and have a negative Covid test to enable them to travel. With so much Covid around, it is becoming increasingly difficult to avoid infection.

Please also pray that the Lord will bless their trip. Following the fire at Saidi, there will need to assess the damage and make plans for reconstruction, as well as the further development of the project site, as well as reviewing other important aspects of the work.
