A pallet of CCTV security equipment is due to leave NI this week en route to Malawi. Unfortunately a short delay means that it has missed the deadline to make this week’s airfreight consignment and won’t now go until the end of the month. Please pray for its safe arrival.
Pray for Harold as he recovers from a very painful Scorpion sting

Brother Harold was stung by a large scorpion hiding in a timber pile at the home he is building. When Stephen called him on Saturday evening he was crying uncontrollably with unbearable pain. Scorpion stings can be fatal, so we praise God that he is recovering.
Wati & Goodson visited Harold at his home on Sunday and reported that he was feeling somewhat better, although he still has pain and numbness at the site of the sting.
Pray for Stephen & Gail as they travel to Malawi
Stephen and Gail will drive to Dublin on Monday evening for a Tuesday morning flight to Stockholm, en route to Malawi. It’s a long, 27 hour journey with 4 flights, so please pray for them as they go.
Pray that the short visit will be a blessing – Stephen hopes to attend to several matters pending after his recent visit with Jim, and Gail hopes she will be able to give some encouragement and support to Anna.
Akuba
I’m sharing this from Anna’s personal blog, with her express permission with the intention is that we may continue to uphold her in our prayers.
Anna hopes that giving this account in her own words will prevent unnecessary speculation and having to repeat the story over and over.
Pray: Anna’s Recovery from her recent trauma
As communication with Anna has been restored, it has become apparent that her recent trauma was much more than “just” a burglary.
Please enfold her in your prayers and pray for her physical, emotional and spiritual preservation during this extremely difficult trial.
Pray: Stephen’s next visit to Malawi – 12 April
Brother Stephen has been considering when to make his next visit to Malawi. Recent events have confirmed that this should be sooner rather than later, so he plans to depart on 12 April, Lord willing.
Please pray that Stephen will remain Covid-free prior to departure, and while in Malawi, as a Covid infection could cause serious disruption to travel arrangements.
Pray: For maize harvest – Extremely difficult days ahead
Please pray for the maize harvest in Malawi. According to the Famine Early Warning System, large swathes of the country are already “stressed”. Much of the Lower Shire is “in crisis” and Anna’s recent burglary reminds us that crime inevitably occurs more frequently when life is so difficult.
Pray: Continue to uphold Anna and her family
There is much to give thanks for following Anna’s recent ordeal, but still much to pray about. Please particularly remember the following matters:
- That Anna will continue to know the peace of the Lord as she processes the emotions & memories of what happened, and what could have happened.
- For preservation of Anna, and the rest of the team, from similar incidents.
- Continue to pray for the recovery or replacement of the stolen goods
- Please remember Anna’s family – this is a difficult time for them as they deal with their own emotions and natural instincts to care for her.
- For those around Anna to be able to give the support – and space – that she will need.
- That the Lord will overrule so that this will somehow be to the furtherance of the Gospel, not to its detriment.
PRAY: Anna has suffered a traumatic house break-in
We are sorry to report that Anna suffered a house break-in overnight. We praise the Lord that she is at peace. However it was a traumatic experience, so please pray that she will be kept in heart, mind and soul as she processes what has happened.
Three men attacked their compound, tying up the guard and Anna and the neighbours. They then ransacked the houses and took whatever valuables they could find. Although they stole vehicle keys, they did not attempt (or succeed) to take Anna’s vehicle, but did steal phones, laptops, electronics.
Pray: Blessing on the literature distributed
Anna asks that we pray for God to use His word powerfully in many hearts as the distributors take it and use it.
