As the clock runs down on MGO 2022, we reflect upon the Lord’s goodness over the past two weeks.

Pray: MGO 2022 – Week 2
Please continue to pray for our second week of MGO activities.
Most of the team are heading off to Liwonde National Park today for an overnight mini-safari and well-earned rest. Pray they will have an enjoyable and relaxing time – after a week of mostly blistering sun it has been overcast and damp for the last couple of days.
Give Thanks: MGO 2022 – Thousands hearing the Gospel
We are now halfway through MGO 2022. After a 2-year break due to Covid, it has not disappointed us. To God be the glory!
Give Thanks: Safe Arrival of MGO Team & Luggage
Give thanks for the safe, and relatively trouble-free arrival of the entire team. Many have travelled very long distances, and we praise God for their safety while travelling.
None of the bags arrived with the advance party on Thursday, but we are thankful that the last of the outstanding bags arrived on the same flight on Sunday as the final team members. MGO 2022 gets underway today.
Pray: MGO gets underway
Please pray for the Lord’s preservation and blessing upon our time of Gospel Outreach which gets underway today (Monday).
Specific points for prayer:
- The Health & Safety of the entire team of overseas visitors and local helpers
- Stamina to maintain a busy pace, especially for those not used to sustained high (warm!!) temperatures each day
- Spiritual freshness and power in the presentation of the Gospel
- Harold and others who will help with the mentally draining process of translation
Pray: MGO Preparation & Team Travel
After much anticipation, MGO is almost upon us. The team will be assembling in Malawi over the course of the next week.
Please pray for:
- Safe & trouble-free travel (there is a lot of travel disruption at present).
- Advance party leave Dublin on Wed
- Others depart Chicago, Toronto & London on Fri & Sat
- Average travel time >30 hrs
- Health, safety & well-being of the team while in Malawi. Stamina to maintain a busy schedule
- Spirit of harmony & cooperation
- Help with preaching / teaching & translation
- Salvation of those who hear the Word
- Life-changing experiences among team members
- Encouragement of the local believers
Countdown to MGO
We have been waiting a long time but now the countdown to MGO is T-2 weeks!
Initially we planned to have a series of 5 Children’s Day Camps, but we learned a few weeks ago that the school term has been extended due to earlier Covid disruption. Accordingly, we have adapted the plan to have a two-session Day Camp on the middle Saturday of MGO and do three half-day school visits instead. If you are interested in following our program you can find the daily schedule here.
Give Thanks for progress with Bibletime
Anna writes: “I am thankful for the Lord’s help to finish the initial revisions on all of the lessons for the A-series of Bibletime.”
Pray for the Lord’s saving power
Anna writes: “Pray that we will see the Lord’s saving power at work in the many different groups we work with: children, Bible study group, orphans, employees and students.”
