We had hoped to be celebrating the Lord’s goodness in the progress of the project at Saidi, but 3 January turned out to be a sad day at Saidi.

A lightning strike mid-afternoon set the structure of the Msasa alight, and before long it was fully ablaze, despite the

torrential rain.

Seven people were inside, taking shelter from the rain, including Brother Goodson’s son, Joseph, but we are thankful that although a couple had to be taken to hospital, none was killed, nor sustained life-changing injuries.

The incident has left us all somewhat shocked, but thankful for the faithful prayer support of so many of the Lord’s people.
