Points for Prayer & Thanksgiving

  • Maize Storage for feeding program

We are planning to start our feeding program at Saidi very shortly. As the building works have scaled up we’ve had to add more storage for maize and other food-stuffs. It’s been really difficult to acquire decent containers due to the current world shipping situation, so prices have gone up and available quality gone down.Read More

  • New (to us) Wheels

It’s taken a long time, but we are now the happy owners and possessors of a new (to us) 3T truck. It’s planned to use this on the construction site and for literature distribution to help relieve our serious logistical problems.

  • Disappointment

Disappointed this morning as thieves attacked the property overnight and stole 20 fence poles. We need to consider how to prevent further loss or more serious breaches of the security, keeping in mind that we don’t want to erect barriers between ourselves and the community.

  • Schools Ministry – 20,000 Exercise Books

Anna & Harold continue their regular, weekly school visits. Each student hears a short Gospel presentation and receives a gift of a an Exercise Book. These are highly prized as schools are generally very poorly resourced. Many students sit on the bare floor as there are insufficient desks and chairs. The exercise books have aRead More

  • Progress on Feeding Station & Msasa wa Ana (Children’s Shelter)

It’s really exciting to see progress on the Msasa wa Ana. Until now the children have been meeting in the shade of the storage containers, but these will obviously provide no shelter once the oncoming rainy season arrives.

  • Mission accomplished

Thanks to all who have supported us prayerfully and practically so far in this. There’s been a LOT of sand, stone and cement gone into it, and this (and the other progress made recently) wouldn’t have been possible without the generosity of the Lord’s people. Thank you!

  • Flora’s Eggs – and a whole lot more

What a blessing to be back with the brothers and sisters in Malawi! I arrived in time to join the monthly get together of workers at Goodson’s house at the Saidi project site. It’s a joy to see how well the team is gelling. It’s obvious that the Lord of the Harvest has brought HisRead More

  • An ill-divided world

According to Forbes the world’s wealthiest just got richer to the tune of $5 Trillion, with a new billionaire being created every 17 hours, on average, during the pandemic.

  • News Update – June 2021

Brother Stephen has just returned from a most encouraging visit to Malawi – his first since February 2020. The main reasons for this trip were (1) to help Anna (Vallance) get settled into her new home and environment, (2) to “eyeball” the project site at Saidi for the first time (Bros. Harold & Goodson hadRead More

  • Impression of site development at Saidi

Here’s a 3d impression of how we think the site at Saidi might develop over the next couple of years, Lord willing.
