Points for Prayer & Thanksgiving

  • Pray: Upcoming Travel to Malawi

Please pray for Anna as she returns to Malawi this week after several weeks in the USA, accompanied by her brother for a short visit. Also remember Stephen and Gail, who will be travelling to Malawi towards the end of the month.

  • Give Thanks: Arrival of Literature Container

Give thanks with us for the safe arrival of the literature container shipped from Northern Ireland in October. Although some items were stolen en route, around 3,000,000 Gospel calendars and tracts arrived intact. We praise God for swift trans-shipment at Nacala and smooth customs clearance in Malawi.

  • Give Thanks: 5000 Emmaus Booklets on order

Give thanks with us as 5,000 Emmaus booklets are sent to print in Malawi, bringing the total produced since mid-2025 to around 17,000, and giving thanks for the translation and preparation of 18 Emmaus courses now available in Chichewa.

  • Give thanks: Replacement engine for Mitsubishi Canter has arrived

We give thanks for the safe arrival in Malawi of a long-delayed replacement engine for our Mitsubishi Canter truck. Please pray that the engine can be fitted quickly and successfully, as the lack of this vehicle continues to hamper many practical aspects of the work.

  • Pray: Gospel Literature arriving imminently

Please pray for safe arrival and speedy customs clearance of a shipment of over two million Gospel calendars and tracts now en route to Malawi. We also value prayer for wisdom as we seek to scale up the work, as current distribution meets only a fraction of the growing demand.

  • Dormitory Construction Update: Steady Progress at Saidi, Malawi

Steady progress continues on the Saidi dormitory project in Malawi, with key construction milestones reached and hopeful plans to complete facilities before May.

  • Give Thanks: Children’s Christmas Outreach, Good rains

We give thanks for a children’s outreach where many heard the Gospel and the rain did not hinder the day. We’re also grateful for consistent rains so far, bringing renewed hope for maize crops after several difficult harvest seasons.

  • Please Pray – Anna travelling, Literature Container, Truck Engine etc.

Please pray for safe travel for Anna, the arrival of a container of Gospel literature, urgent vehicle repairs, and continued progress on building work despite heavy rains. Give thanks too for much-needed rainfall as Malawi faces ongoing food insecurity.

  • Pray: Fuel Crisis and other practical challenges

Please continue to pray for relief of the ongoing economic crisis in Malawi. Fuel is in extremely short supply, with unbelievably long queues when filling stations are supplied. People have been seen fist-fighting over their place in the line. Other locally-grown commodities like sugar and cooking oil are not available, presumably as producers export in order to obtain much-need foreign currency. This has been going on for many months now, and has a really debilitating effect. Please also pray for the arrival of the used engine we purchased from South Africa for our 2-Ton Mitsubishi truck which has been laid…

  • Give Thanks: Many practical tasks accomplished

Give thanks for the many practical tasks accomplished over the past 3-4 weeks in Malawi.
