Summit One Supports Cyclone Freddy Survivors in Malawi

Summit One provides Salesforce support to Southern Africa Literature Trust (SALT)who are working to relieve survivors of Cyclone Freddy, one of the longest and most powerful tropical storms to hit Southern Africa. Already the death toll is in the thousands, with hundreds of bodies still being found daily. Tens of thousands are displaced from their homes. The immediate need is for food and shelter for those with nowhere else to go. In the longer term, there will be a massive rebuilding exercise to be done. Malawi is one of the poorest countries in the world, with over 70% of the population subsisting on $1.90 / day or less. The government here is powerless to help, and so the poor people of Malawi are totally dependent of well-wishers from overseas. Summit One has pledged to match every dollar donated (to max of $500). Every dollar will make a difference.
